The nine areas make up an important part of the preparation for a foreign service. The Area-Conference is there in order to be able to go into more detail regarding the particularities of the country of service and to simultaneously keep contact with the current foreign servant and the mentor. The Area-Coordinator mostly is an alumnus and undertakes superior jobs related to the coordination of the area.
